WHAT IS GOLD STANDARD
GOLD STANDARD therapy is the combination of individual therapy, phone coaching, group therapy, and a consult team that oversees your treatment.
With GOLD STANDARD therapy, you will be working with an intensively trained DBT therapist who can help you navigate the best next steps to live a better life. Your therapist can provide 24-hour phone coaching, helping you with skills when you most need it. This is most beneficial for those experiencing crises or are struggling with emotional overload.
CAN I JUST HAVE A DBT EASTSIDE THERAPIST?
Yes. DBT Eastside realizes that not everyone is ready for our DBT Skills groups — at first. Clients may opt to have an individual DBT therapist in the beginning without attending group. It is important to note, however, that this approach is not DBT adherant and, therefore, not GOLD STANDARD. Should you select this option, our DBT Eastside therapist will discuss our DBT Skills groups with you and help you identify when and if you can incorporate Group sessions into your treatment.
