Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a type of behavioral therapy. It was originally developed to help treat those suffering from major suicidal thoughts and borderline personality disorder, but it can also help treat a wide range of other mental illnesses, such as depression and anxiety.
Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
For those interested in addressing perfectionism, treatment-resistant anxiety, self-critical thoughts, people-pleasing, or difficulty letting go of control, Radically Open (RO-DBT) might be the right fit for you. A newer form of DBT treatment dedicated to treating disorders of “overcontrol”, our gold standard RO-DBT program can provide the same incredible results as standard DBT, just using a different set of skills.
Gold Standard Therapy
Gold Standard therapy is the combination of individual therapy, phone coaching, group therapy, and a consult team that oversees your treatment.
With Gold Standard therapy, you will be working with an intensively trained DBT therapist who can help you navigate the best next steps to live a better life. Your therapist can provide 24-hour phone coaching, helping you with skills when you most need it. This is most beneficial for those experiencing crises or are struggling with regulating intense emotions. Research has shown that this is the most effective method for reducing suicide attempts and ideation, non-suicidal self-harm, and for improvements in depression, anxiety and the capacity to control anger.
This is the recommended course here at DBT Eastside.
